As a Canberra mum of two, I know first-hand the whirlwind of emotions and endless to-do lists that come with early motherhood. Those sleepless nights, the constant feedings, and the overwhelming love – it’s a beautiful chaos. But amidst the joy, I found myself yearning for a little ‘me’ time, a small space to recharge and reconnect with myself.

I discovered a passion for sewing while creating special pieces for my girls. The quiet moments spent at the sewing machine became my sanctuary. It was then that I realized my love for creating extended to the world of babies. The idea of crafting soft, comforting essentials for newborns ignited a spark within me. And so, Nyxie Bee was born, named after my first daughter, Nyxia.

Creating Nyxie Bee was more than just a business venture. It was a personal journey to become a better mother. By nurturing my creativity and building a sustainable income, I aimed to provide a brighter future for my children.

Of course, starting a business wasn't without its challenges. Balancing motherhood, design, and production was a constant juggling act. There were moments of self-doubt, but the support of my family and the joy of seeing other mums love my products kept me going. Through it all, Nyxie Bee has become a source of empowerment, allowing me to combine my passions for creativity and motherhood into a fulfilling career.

In creating Nyxie Bee, I've learned the importance of self-care for mothers. Filling my own cup has allowed me to be a better parent and business owner. That's why I've expanded my range to include essentials for mums, not just bubs. I believe that by taking care of ourselves, we can better care for our children.

One of my proudest achievements is designing and creating the exclusive duo bib. Overcoming the challenges of bringing this product to life has been incredibly rewarding. It's a testament to my growth as a designer and entrepreneur.
